June 13-15, 2020
A degrowth festival. We didn’t say conference; we said festival.
Join us in Burlington for 3 days of art and music, workshops and lectures, skill-shares and discussions, debauchery and disobedience, and above all, community.
We’ll be bringing together activists, academics, artists, musicians, performers, builders, gardeners, makers and more for a weekend of sharing, learning, celebrating and growing together.
DegrowthFest 2020 is a program of DegrowUS: a collective of activists, academics and advocates for degrowth from across the United States. DegrowUS is part of a global movement for a voluntary transition towards a just, participatory, and ecologically sustainable society.
For this event, we are partnering with the Sustainable Consumption Research and Action Initiative (SCORAI).
June 13-15, 2020
DegrowthFest 2020 immediately follows the 2020 SCORAI Conference, an international conference of scholars and practitioners focused on sustainable consumption as it relates to urban issues and social equity. The SCORAI Conference will be held at Northeastern University in Boston, MA from June 10-12, 2020.
Conveniently close to Boston for those planning to attend both the SCORAI Conference and DegrowthFest, yet delightfully situated in the beautiful forests of the Northeast. We are in the process of booking a precise location.
We are still in the early stages of planning this event. Please check back for more information on line-up, reservations, location and accommodation.
If you’d like to be involved in planning DegrowthFest 2020, please email DegrowUS organizer Meg Egler.
