Degrowth Discussion Circles - Fall 2023

It was so fun taking a deeper dive into some of these degrowth topics with you all! Thanks for coming out.

Responding to calls from our degrowUS friends, we organized a series of virtual discussion circles where we explored different topics and their intersections with degrowth. Helped out by our community scholars, we read things together, asked questions, discussed, and were ready to dip deeper into imagining what a degrowth future could look like.

Watch out for the next round!

DegrowUS Virtual Assembly 2023

Update: Thank you to everyone who came to our virtual assembly! We’ll be following up with you all soon!

DegrowUS is hosted a virtual general assembly to re-start our organizing efforts in the (tentatively) post-Covid era! Join us on May 24, 2023 for an evening of discussion, catching up and organizing the future of DegrowUS.

This event was open to anyone interested in organizing for degrowth in the United States, regardless of whether or not you’ve previously been involved in DegrowUS.

We’ll discussed the future of our organization, planning our next events and strategizing what organizing for degrowth in the U.S. context can tangibly look like.

The event was opened with remarks from Susan Paulson and Jamie Tyberg!

More information on the event is available here.

DegrowthFest 2020

In Burlington, Vermont, DegrowUS hosted an uprising of art installations and happenings through which community members envisioned worlds where we prioritize care, justice, and wellbeing for all. DegrowthFest now lives on as a virtual gallery. We want you to contribute, fill out this form!

Degrowth and Action: Beyond Electoral Politics was a web event about organizing for degrowth in 2021. Part teach-in, part speed-dating. Check out notes and presentations from the event.
